摘要

For coherent detection of optical fields scattered by a large number of particles (N_p 1), the statistics of the Doppler lidar signal is non-Gaussian in the turbulent atmosphere. We cannot use the central limit theorem for the analysis of the signal statistics of the Doppler lidar. The main reason for the difference of the Doppler lidar signal statistics from the Gaussian is the fluctuations of wind velocity in the scattering volume.
