摘要

Carbon dioxide copolymers, or poly(alkylene carbonates), are a new generation of polymers synthesized from carbon dioxide and epoxides. This polymer family possesses many characteristics which make it quite unique, including low temperature burnout, clean products of decomposition (primarily CO_2 and H_2O) in all atmospheres and very low ash residues upon decompositon. As a ceramic and metal powder binder, poly (alkylene carbonates) and lubricity to powders and impart excellent green strength to structures produced by many methods including powder pressing and tape casting.
