Fine coal in certain areas of the world can be recovered and blended with the coarse coal product.rnFine coal can be a significant part of the run-of-the-mill coal mined in some coal producing areas. After a washability study determines the fine coal fraction of the product, a preparation circuit can be designed to efficiently extract and clean the most usable coal fractions. Good coal quality, consistent with good overall yield is the object of any proposed circuit. In today's competitive markets, achieving a low cost per ton of processed clean fine coal is most important.rnThis paper describes several methods of classifying fine coal using wet high frequency screening.
