OPERATIONS CONTROL PROCESSES FOR THE GALILEO SATELLITE NAVIGATION SERVICES

The paper presents an overview of the operations control processes required for the continuous provision of satellite navigation services as would be delivered through the European Galileo programme. The provision of such services is to be done in a highly reliable manner, for an extended period of time (20 years and more). The paper summarizes the presently foreseen implementation of the operational system and identifies options that could further optimize the implementation.
