models converge to the same results. Virtually no difference was seen in the results of the simulations when one model of BSDF was interchanged with another. One can therefore not only conclude that the describing the leaf BSDF as lambertian is an accurate assumption in this utility, but also that it is the optimal assumption. Selecting random scattering angles according to the lambertian pdf is not only the easiest to implement, but also the fastest by a factor of nearly 2x.
