According to the design characteristics, the results of PSA, and the severe accident researchrnand analysis results of Tianwan NPP and Daya Bay NPP and Qingshan Phase II NPP, thernresearch and calculating analyses on the emergency source term (EST) used by utilities forrntheir emergency planning have been carried out and those ESTs have been compared with thernPWR1~PWR9 source term of USA and the S1, S2 and S3 source term of French and thernFK1~FK8 source term of Germany. We have demonstrated the conclusion that thosernemergency source terms are of the rationality and conservatism.rnThe emergency source term and site data as well as meteorological data of those NPPs havernbeen utilized to carry out the calculating dose fields of those sites by the MACCS code madernby USNRC and the Code made by BINE. The calculating results and the figures of dose fieldrnof those NPPs were given in this paper.rnAccording to the requirement of the GB/T 17680.1-1999 —"Criteria for EmergencyrnResponse Plan and Preparation of Nuclear Power Plant Operation— Partition of EmergencyrnPlan Zone" and the requirement of HAD002/03 of NNSA and the calculating results of thernoff-site dose fields, the partition of emergency planning zone of the Chinese three sites of thernNPP have been conducted and the emergency planning zones (EPZ) have been recommendedrnto the utilities. Some of them had been approved by Chinese authorities of nuclear accidentrnemergency management for using to conduct those partitions of EPZ. In this paper, it haverndiscussed and analyzed the range of the emergency plan zones of those NPPs and thernuncertainty of the results. We gave the suggestions and recommendations on the selection ofrnthe emergency release source terms and the partition of emergency plan zone.
