摘要

Intergranular cracks can initiate near the heat affected zones in welded austenitic stainlesssteels when reheated in the 500u000eC to 700u000eC temperature range (reheat cracking).A speciallydesigned experimental procedure is followed to induce intergranular micro-cracking in two AISI316 steels.It involves the plastic deformation in compression at RT of notched compact tension(CT) specimens-machined from 20% cold-rolled sheets.
