Optical fibers are increasing interesting as the sensors for high-temperature applications.Toensure the long term use at high temperature,the reliability of sensors based on optical fibers isof vital importance.Using tensile strength tests,the failure behavior of silica optical fibers withcoating stripped by hot sulfuric acid at temperatures of 26℃,300℃ and 540℃ was investigated.
