In any operating conditions, the heat whichrnproduced from the reactor must be removed by thernthird loop system in China Experiment Fast Reactorrn(CEFR). The third loop design of the ChinarnExperiment Fast Reactor is different from PressurizedrnWater Reactor (PWR). The steam turbine system,rnmain steam system, feed water system, bypass system,rnand the other equipment and systems all have specialrnrequirements in CEFR.rnIn this article, the third loop system design andrnchoice of the equipments will be discussed accordingrnto the special requirements. In the third loop design,rnthe operating mode must be considered. Thernoperation of the steam turbine and other equipmentrnmust follow the operating mode of the reactor. Therntest mode, non-power output mode and power outputrnmode of the reactor must be considered in design.rnThe third loop also has safety function if thernpiping leakage or overpressure happened in the steamrngenerator. If the pressure exceeded the normalrncondition in the third loop, the bypass valve, thernsteam discharge atmosphere valve and safety valvernwould be put into operation in sequence.
