IAEA ACTIVITIES FOR INNOVATIVE SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZEDREACTORS (SMRs)

The renewed interest in many Member Statesrnin the development and application of Small andrnMedium Sized Reactors (SMRs) is reflected in thernincreased activities of the IAEA's Nuclear PowerrnTechnology Development Section (NPTDS) for thisrntrend. The paper gives an overview, summarizesrnintermediate results, and presents major findings ofrnthe NPTDS activities for innovative SMRs,rnincluding the preparation of new Status Report onrnInnovative SMR Designs and CoordinatedrnResearch Project for the Development of SmallrnReactors without On-Site Refuelling.
