When a crack occurs in a structure, the crackrnmay grow until the structure breaks. Therefore,rnaccurate and simple evaluation of crack behavior isrnimportant. Fracture Mechanics Parameters are used tornquantitatively evaluate crack behavior. Such accuraternevaluation is attained by using precise analysisrnmethods such as the finite element method. However,rnprecise analysis can require enormous computationalrncosts, and thus several simplified formulas have beenrndeveloped. The present authors are currentlyrndeveloping an engineering tool to facilitate thernapplication of the numerous simplified formulas thatrnhave been reported. Using this tool, anyone canrnevaluate fracture mechanics parameters byrnperforming simple operations. Moreover, therneffectiveness of the proposed tool is expected tornincrease if the system can handle more realistic crackrnproblems. Therefore, we have implemented twornimportant functions in this system. One is a functionrnto perform fatigue crack propagation analysis, and thernother is a function to evaluate fracture mechanicsrnparameters under an arbitrary distribution of stresses.The present paper also demonstrates the effectivenessrnof the newly developed system.
