The objective of the present study is to investigate the steamrnflow behavior through the high-pressure turbine bypass valve.rnEfforts have mainly been directed at investigating the processrnof steam flow and property variations aforementioned bypassrnvalve as well as to obtain correlations between the flow raternand the valve opening ratio.rnModeling of the high-pressure turbulent steam flow wasrnperformed on a three-dimensional non-staggered (co-located)rngrid system by employing the finite volume method and byrnsolving the three-dimensional, turbulent, compressiblernNavier-Stokes, and energy equations.rnThrough this research, numerous data have beenrnacquired and analyzed. These efforts enable us to obtain arncorrelation data set for the flow rate coefficient as a function ofrnvalve opening. One of the significant accomplishments is tornuse the model presented here for further improve a design of arnturbine bypass flow valve.
