摘要

This paper describes application of ATP-EMTP in the modelling and simulation of CT and differential protection IED for determination of appropriate settings. It describes a methodology to integrate the mathematical concepts of IEC 60044-6 with simulation capability of ATP-EMTP to quantitatively determine the problems posed by CT saturation for a given case; and arrive at the settings which offer highest degree of sensitivity without sacrificing stability.
