摘要

With the development of computer vision, machine vision has become a fast growing intelligent feature for machines.The CNC system with machine vision function is thus becoming a very valuable issue.A machine vision oriented open CNC system is developed and applied in profile grinding machine tool in this study, which is widely used in precision machining of parts with contour curve such as complex moulds.It changes the conventional profile grinding method and makes it possible for the profile error to be visual detected and on line compensated.The design methodology for machine vision oriented CNC system was proposed.The hardware and software structures were constructed.The CNC multithreading mechanism was analyzed.The fusion of numerical control with image processing and virtual axis based error compensation were discussed.The experiments were conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed vision integrated open CNC system.
