In order to enhance physical and mechanical properties of Cement Composite Board (CCB), variousrncomponents in addition to cement are used in the manufacturing process. In this paper, the effect ofrnlimestone powder has been investigated as a cement substitute. Five mixtures were designed with differentrnamounts of limestone powder; specimens were made and tested for flexural strength. In these mixes 0%, 5%,rn10%, 15% and 20% limestone powder replaced the cement. The results showed that the 5% and 10%rnreplacement of limestone powder led to maximum flexural strength of the cement composite board. Thernoptimum mix in this investigation satisfies Class 1 classification of the BS EN 12467 standard.
