Thermodynamic database for the oxy-fluoride system CaO-SiO_2-Al_2O_3-MgO-Na_2O-F has been developed based on the critical evaluation/ optimization of all available thermodynamic data and phase diagram information. The developed database can be used for phase diagram calculations for multicomponent system. In the present study, the phase diagrams of the CaO-MgO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2-CaF_2 system were calculated to better understand the influence of CaF_2 on the corrosion of MgO refractory in contact with CaO-MgO-Al_2O_3-SiO2 slags.
