摘要

A novel on-load tap-changing(OLTC) regulator for electrolytic process is proposed in this paper. The thyristors are used to substitute tap regulating switches. By measuring the voltage and current of power system and the load fluctuation of electrolytic bases, the number of groups of transformer's windings which should turn on or off and the position of tap switches can be obtained. Then according to the law of conservation of electromagnetic energy, the corresponding switches of thyristors are triggered at the moment that transitional process doesn't generate. The regulating taps locate at the third windings, which can reduce the endurable voltage of thyristors. By reasonable connection, the wide range voltage regulation is realized by using lesser thyristors. The voltage regulation is rapid. The waveforms of current and voltage are smooth and non-impact.
