摘要

A creative conception was proposed to enhance heat transfer of grinding contact zone through radial water jet impinging based on analyzing on the mechanism of burn during creep feed grinding. A new apparatus of slotted & perforated electroplated CBN grinding wheel with radial jet was developed and its effect on heat transfer was studied through an intermitted creep feed grinding. The experimental results show that the technology of enhancing heat transfer through jet impinging is a valid method for raising efficiency of heat transfer in grinding contact zone. The higher the radial jet velocity, the better the effects of heat transfer. It can be widely applied to constrain workpiece burn an grinding of difficult-to-machine materials.
