摘要

Recent dolomite, CaMg(CO_3)_2, typically forms under marine-anaerobic conditions in association with organic-rich sediments and sulphate-reducing bacteria. Thus, the boundary conditions of dolomite formation are well known, but reaction mechanisms related to dolomitisation are still poorly understood; and conceptual models range from direct dolomite precipitation from (Mg)-rich interstitial solutions to transformation of metastable carbonate precursors to dolomite.
