Earth 3D Modeling for a presentation of a weather forecast bulletin

In this article we put forward the development of a solution allowing modeling and exploiting real time synthesized images of the globe. This modeling aims to present the weather forecast bulletin of Tunisian television Channel 7. This presentation requires the fluid displacement on any place of the world, while having the necessary level of detail. To store and handle the data relating to the geographical chart, most of the methods used implement a tree structure of data where various threads come out of each knot (four in the case of quadtree). Recursively One goes down the tree until a satisfactory detail. Our contribution consists in the adaptation of this algorithm on a sphere and the exploitation of various filtering, storage and optimization techniques in connection with the available material.
