摘要

Rubbing treatment could induce anisotropy and asymmetry in surface roughness of polyimide surfaces, which played an important role in determining the preferred pretilt direction of the liquid crystal molecules. According to our results, the preferred pretilt direction of the liquid crystal directors aligns along the direction with low surface roughness.
