One of the most important issues in organic photonics applications, like OLEDs, is the degradation due to moisture permeation. In a glass to glass configuration the main permeation source is the edge sealant. Although there are certified methods for the characterization of the permeation parameters, it is hard to measure WVTR and lag time directly in the final configuration. In this paper we will present the first results of a new analytical method. This measurement technique has allowed the development of a new class of sealants that can ensure longer lag time and then reduce moisture influx during lifetime.
