THERMAL AND FIRE BEHAVIOR OF HIGH PERFORMANCE FABRICS

摘要

High performance fibers PPTA, TECH and PBO were studied. We showed for an organic polymer, the unique properties of PBO in terms of heat and fire resistance. Blends of wool with high performance fibers were studied as well. Blends of wool with PBO and Tech at low percetage did not enhance the FR performance of wool. Blends of wool with PPTA allows to improve the FR performance and the thermal stability of the whole textile.
