摘要

The temperature and the pH of the produced water at a Central California oilfield has decreased over time. These changes are a result of reduced steaming activity and the removal of some production equipment. Data will be presented to show how this change in water pH has impacted the ability of our water clarifier to treat the produced reverse emulsion specifically by narrowing its treating range. Finally this paper will present evidence to show that a reformulated water treatment chemical was able to restore the treating range and thus maintain water quality.
