Target to efficient stimulus presentation sequence for P300 BCI

摘要

The P300 potential is a positive peak of an event-rnrelated potential (ERP) that happens at 300 ms after rna stimulus. In this rnstudy, both offline and online stages were carried rnout in the experiment. The motivation of this paper rnis to compare two different rnP300 brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) which were rnevoked by random stimulus and non-random stimulus rnrespectively. The offiinerndata demonstrated that the random stimulus induced a rnhigher P300 amplitude and classification accuracy rnthan the non-random rnstimulus. The offline data were used to train the rnBayesian linear discriminate analysis (BLDA), which rnwas used in offline experiment.rnThe online results further proved that random rnstimulus P300 BCI yields better performance than non-rnrandom stimulus P300 BCI.
