Vinyl-SBA-15 mesoporous silica material was firstly used as a novel coating for SPME fiber by directly and sol-gel coating techniques. High thermal stability, excellent solvent durability of the fibers were obtained. Moreover, the vinyl-SBA-15 fibers showed much better extraction efficiencies for non-polar BTEX compared with commercial PDMS fibers. With low RSDs and LODs, wide linear ranges and good recoveries, the new ordered mesoporous vinyl-SBA-15 fibersrnwere a promising alternative to the commercial fibers, and has a considerable potential for preconcentration, separation and determination of analytes of interest in the future.
