摘要

Shear horizontal (SH) surface waves propagating in layered media consisting of a piezomagnetic half-space and a piezoelectric layer adjoining the vacuum are investigated theoretically. The exact dispersion relations are obtained. The numerical calculations are carried out for the phase velocities. The results show that the phase velocities of the SH surface wave propagation approach the Bleustein-Gulyaev (B-G) wave velocity or the bulk shear wave velocity of a piezoelectric layer as the wave number increases. It is also found that except the magnetic permeability, the other properties of a piezoelectric material have a significant effect on the propagation characteristics.
