Coffee in BijniA new horizon

摘要

Bijni is a sub division of Chirang, one of the 27 districts of Assam. Chirang is a new district carved out from the erstwhile Bongaigaon district under BTAD. It is situated in the north west part of Assam sharing its northern boundaries with Bhutan.Bijni is reported to have mild climate throughout the year. The soil is clay loam and deep. The area is having an elevation of 250 ft. above sea level with latitude of 24°36' north and a longitude of 90°37 east. A number of communities representing different ethnic groups of Eastern India are the inhabitants of this region.
