    • 摘要: The aim of this study was to evaluate the maintenance of spermatozoa motility over 72 h by two commercial semen extenders used to centrifuge semen before re-suspending the sperm pellet in INRA 96^(■).Centrifuged and re-suspended semen samples were evaluated for percent motility using four commercial Standard bred stallions collected three times each during the spring and summer breeding season.Next Generation Dr.Kenney’s^(■)without antibiotic or INRA 96^(■)semen extenders were used to dilute semen samples in a 1:1 ratio prior to centrifugation at 750×g for 10 min.After decanting the supernatant,the resulting sperm pellets were then re-suspended and extended with INRA 96^(■)to a final concentration of 50 million total cells per millimeter and stored in Equine Express II stallion semen shipping containers.Percent progressive motility was recorded at time points 0,24,48,and 72 h.Analysis of variance between stallions,time,and extender type found that there was no significant difference in percent motility at each of the time points between the two extenders(p=0.87)used for centrifugation.Differences in percent motility over time and between stallions were found(p<0.001).The findings suggest that the use of Next Generation Dr.Kenney’s^(■)semen extender during centrifugation and then re-suspending the sperm pellet in INRA 96^(■)may be more cost effective than using INRA 96^(■)for both centrifugation and re-suspension of the sperm pellet.This is due to the fact that the less expensive Next Generation Dr.Kenney’s^(■)supernatant is decanted and discarded after the centrifugation step,instead of the much more expensive INRA 96^(■),yet does not affect the quality of semen preservation and motility over time.

    • 摘要: Background:The use of newly harvested corn in feed causes wet droppings in broilers and increased feed cost which was termed as“new season grain problem”.The present study was conducted to evaluate the proteomic profile of newly harvested corn and the subsequent influence on intestinal microbiol community for broiler chickens.Methods:Newly harvested corn stored for either half a month(HM)or two months(TM)was used,and the pasting properties,total soluble sugars,and proteomic analysis technology was used to explore the influence of storage on natural aging corn properties.Additionally,seventy-two 7-day-old Ross 308 male broiler chicken were fed with different stored corn.Apparent metabolizable energy(AME),digesta viscosity,intestinal morphology and microbiota were examined to explore the influence of feed corn storage on broiler chickens.Results:Pasting properties in the TM corn exhibited decreased viscoelastic properties.Proteomic studies found a total of 26 proteins that were differentially expressed between the two treatment groups.Proteins involved in starch and polysaccharides biosynthesis were upregulated in TM compared with HM.Chickens fed on TM diet had higher relative energy utilization compared to the HM birds.With increased corn storage,the relative digesta viscosity decreased significantly(P≤0.05).The total number of goblet cells and lymphocytes was lower in chickens fed the TM diet.The microbiota data showed that the TM chickens had decreased abundance of diarrheal bacteria such as Hungatella hathewayi and Bacteroides fragilis,and increased butyrate-producing bacteria such as Alistipes compared to the HM chickens.Conclusions:Storage of newly harvested corn induced the synthetic reaction of large molecules and changed the solubility of starch and protein with increasing soluble sugars and decreasing pasting properties that may improve the fermentation of intestinal microbiota,improve the energy utilization and protect gut health without the risk of diarrhea.

    • 摘要: Advanced glycation end products(AGEs)might pose health risks,and processing and storage could accelerate the generation of AGEs in meat.However,limited few reports indicated the changes of AGEs contents in meat during storage.In this study,the aim is to investigate the oxidation and precursors and their roles in the formation of N^(ε)-carboxymethyl-lysine(CML)in raw and cooked chicken meat after post-mortem ageing and storage.As post-mortem ageing and storage time increased,the CML content in cooked chicken breast significantly increased from 1.81 mg/kg to 2.00 mg/kg during 0-6 h,and then decreased from 2.00 mg/kg to 1.80 mg/kg during 6 h-1 day,finally increased again during 1-7 days,while the CML contents of raw and cooked leg significantly and continuously increased from 1.78 mg/kg to 2.08 mg/kg.Furthermore,CML was extremely positively correlated with fat oxidation(R^(2)=0.793,P<0.01),protein oxidation(R^(2)=0.917,P<0.01)and glyoxal(R^(2)=0.678,P<0.05),and was negatively correlated with lysine(R^(2)=0.536,P<0.05).No significant correlation was observed between the Schiff base and CML.

    • 摘要: Groundwater is of fundamental significance for human society,especially in semi-arid areas in China.However,due to the fast social and economic development,China has been suffering from the shortage of water resource.In this situation,managed aquifer recharge(MAR)was considered to be an effective measure for the sustainable management of groundwater resources.Since 1960 s,China successfully implemented many MAR schemes for different purposes such as restoration of groundwater tables,prevention of seawater intrusion,increasing urban water supplies and controlling land subsidence.From those successful experiences China developed a scientific and applicable system to implement MAR project.However,there were still many challenges in this field,for example,treated waste water had been barely used for recharge.The present review summarized the achievements in MAR applications in China as well as the associated challenges within the past 55 years before the year 2016.

    • 摘要: The evolution of some quality markers of baobab (Adansonia digitata L.) was studied. Baobab oil extracted by pressing was packaged in 30 mL non-amber glass bottles and stored at different temperatures: 20°C, 30°C and 45°C. The physicochemical parameters (acid, peroxide, iodine, saponification, refraction and color indices) were determined during three months’ storage. A significant 5% increase in acid, peroxide and saponification value was observed over time. However, the iodine value decreased. The yellowing and refractive index remained stable while storage at 45°C caused the most significant changes in chemical parameters. The results obtained show that oils stored at 20°C had the lowest acid (2.42 ± 0.26 mg KOH/g) and peroxide (0.82 ± 0.25 mEqO2/Kg) value after three months of follow-up.
    • 摘要: 近日,清华大学交叉信息院于洋课题组与北京大学助理研究员王剑晓合作完成的《通过储能设施防御对抗性攻击》(Defending against Adversarial Attacks by Energy Storage Facility)获得能源领域会议IEEE PESGM 2022年最佳论文奖。论文研究了智能电网中的人工智能算法攻击带来的经济风险和对策。研究指出,算法攻击带来能够威胁实体经济的新型风险,这类风险隐蔽性强,因此难以被察觉和究责,可带来重大经济损失。然而,与计算机领域“用算法对抗迎击算法攻击”的“魔法对抗魔法”思路不同的是,实体经济中存在着能够对抗算法攻击的物理设备。因此,人工智能时代,实体经济有必要投建“对抗算法攻击的新基建”。

    • 摘要: The study aimed to investigate and compare the contents of carboxymethyllysine(CML)in two kinds of broilers during postmortem ageing and storage.The contents of CML in raw and boiled(100°C,30 min)broiler briskets and legs which were from white feather broilers(n=8)and yellow feather broilers(n=8)with ageing and storage at 4°Cfor 0-168 h were determined.Postmortem ageing and storage had a significant(P0.05)change,while that in boiled brisket meat significantly(P0.05)effect on the CML contents in raw/boiled yellow feather broilers.Meanwhile,CML contents in white feather broilers were much higher than that in yellow feather broilers.Thus,white feather broilers can be selected as the research object to study the mechanism of ageing and storage on CML content in the postmortem broiler in the future.

    • 摘要: 1.Introduction Climate change is one of the most severe challenges facing the world today.At present,China produces total annual carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions of over 10 billion tonnes,topping the world in this regard.Although coal empowers China’s economic development,its use presents a great challenge to the nation’s desired goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality.In this context,the low-carbon utilization of coal is an inevitable trend for future development.Exploring new ways to reduce CO_(2) emissions on a large scale in the utilization of coal—especially during coal-fired power generation—is essential in order for China to achieve carbon neutrality.

    • 摘要: Efforts were exerted to enhance the live virtual machines(VMs)migration,including performance improvements of the live migration of services to the cloud.The VMs empower the cloud users to store relevant data and resources.However,the utilization of servers has increased significantly because of the virtualization of computer systems,leading to a rise in power consumption and storage requirements by data centers,and thereby the running costs.Data center migration technologies are used to reduce risk,minimize downtime,and streamline and accelerate the data center move process.Indeed,several parameters,such as non-network overheads and downtime adjustment,may impact the live migration time and server downtime to a large extent.By virtualizing the network resources,the infrastructure as a service(IaaS)can be used dynamically to allocate the bandwidth to services and monitor the network flow routing.Due to the large amount of filthy retransmission,existing live migration systems still suffer from extensive downtime and significant performance degradation in crossdata-center situations.This study aims to minimize the energy consumption by restricting the VMs migration and switching off the guests depending on a threshold,thereby boosting the residual network bandwidth in the data center with a minimal breach of the service level agreement(SLA).In this research,we analyzed and evaluated the findings observed through simulating different parameters,like availability,downtime,and outage of VMs in data center processes.This new paradigm is composed of two forms of detection strategies in the live migration approach from the source host to the destination source machine.
