The flat has a housing which is supported on cylindrical buoys (2). A power generator (6) is mounted on top of the float and is connected to an independent float (4) by means of mechanical links (5). The generator is driven by wave and swell motion. The generator will operate with the float moored to a jetty or towed behind a craft. The floats have a shallow draught and the power generated is related to the volume and weight of the float.
