Electrical energy generator using marine wave motion - uses vertical motion of several floats coupled to cog wheels to drive generator shaft

The generator uses vertically sliding floats, each of which is coupled to a pair of cog wheels (11,14) rotated in response to the up and down movement of the float. The cog wheels (11,14) are used to rotate drive shafts (12) all of which are coupled via bevel gear wheels (15) to a central drive shaft (16). This is coupled via a flywheel (17) and a conversion drive (18) to a DC generator (19). Pref. the electrical energy of several generators (19) is coupled to a common DC motor via separate motor windings associated with the respective generators and a common pole and armature field. This motor is used to drive an output AC generator.
