The present invention provides a tunnel excavation method for kerfing a portion of an outer surface of a tunnel to reduce blasting vibration. The tunnel excavation method for kerfing a portion of an outer surface of a tunnel to reduce blasting vibration kerfs a portion of an outer surface of an excavated tunnel, and bores a pre-large hole in the excavated tunnel to secure a free surface to perform an internal blast. Partial kerfing of the outer surface of an excavated tunnel is carried out by linear kerfing to a prescribed angle towards a protective building using a method such as a wire saw or a water jet to reduce blasting vibration. Moreover, the wire saw or the water jet is used for precise excavation; and noise, vibration, and dust produced when excavating the tunnel are reduced to excavate the tunnel in an environmentally friendly and safe manner.
