The present invention provides a tunnel excavation method for kerfing a portion of an outer surface of a tunnel to reduce blasting vibration. Moreover, the wire saw or the water jet is used for precise excavation; and noise, vibration, and dust produced when excavating the tunnel are reduced to excavate the tunnel in an environmentally friendly and safe manner.
