Disclosed in the present invention are Z-type hexaferrite capable of being applied as an RF device at high frequencies, a manufacturing method thereof, and a method for analyzing Z-type hexaferrite by using mossbauer spectroscopy. According to an embodiment, the manufacturing method for Z-type hexaferrite comprises: a step of mixing barium carbonate (BaCO_3), cobalt oxide (CoO), zinc oxide (ZnO) and iron oxide (α-FeO_3) and grinding the same; a step of calcining the ground mixture at a first calcination temperature; a step of grinding the calcined sample and firstly molding the same with a compressor; a step of firstly sintering the firstly molded sample at a first sintering temperature; a step of grinding the firstly sintered sample and secondly molding the same with the compressor; and a step of secondly sintering the secondly molded sample at a second sintering temperature. In addition, the Z-type hexaferrite is formed as Ba_3Co_2-xZn_xFe_24O_41 (0 x 1.5).
