Ranch Management Seminar features variety of topics

A variety of subjects were covered by speakers at the Ranch Management Seminar held during the International Mink Show. As always, the educational event was sponsored by National fur Foods. About 200 persons were in the audience for the six hour event. Joseph Ruef of Oregon told the crowd that the breeding of darks on his family's farm begins on March 3, and Iris on March 8. Rues said that the faster mink are bred, the better their production. All males are sperm-checked at least once and the herd ratio is 4.5 females per male.
