Author response to the letter: On 'Validity and reliability of the Nintendo Wii Balance Board for assessment of standing balance': Are the conclusions stated by the authors justified?

Prior to responding to each of the specific criticisms raised in this letter to the editor, we would like to reinforce our belief that the Nintendo Wii Balance Board (WBB) has the potential to be a valuable balance assessment tool in the clinical setting. Apart from establishing the concurrent validity of the WBB in healthy [1] and Parkinson's Disease [2] populations, our research group has also sought to examine the predictive or discriminative validity of the WBB measures in various clinical populations.
