摘要

A new novel one-dimensional (1D) polymer involving both tetra- and hexacoordinate mercury(II) complex,[Hg_3(4,4'-bipy)2(CH_3COO)_2(SCN)_4]_n,has been synthesized and characterized.The single-crystal X-ray data of the compound show the complex to be an infinite ID helical chain,two of the Hg atoms are four-coordinate and one is six-coordinate.
