Update on ICO-CFC sponsored Multi-country project'Increasing the resilience of coffee production to leaf rust and other diseases in India and four African countries'

Amulti-country research project "Increasing the resilience of Coffee production to leaf rust and other diseases in India and four African countries (CFC/ICO/40) was sanctioned by CFC during October 2007, with a total budget outlay of US$ 4,014,313 fora total period of five years. Of the total budget, nearly 73% of the grant was provided by CFC while the remaining 27% of project costs was the counterpart contribution from the partner countries. The project has been implemented by the following five institutes:Central Coffee Research Institute, Coffee Board of IndiaCoffee Research Foundation, KenyaCoffee Research Institute, UgandaInstitute of Agronomical Sciences, Agricultural Board, Rwanda Coffee Research Station, Chipinge, Zimbabwe.
