Ashley Potter is an experienced and respected fisherman operating out of Currie on King Island in Bass Strait. Previously the owner of several conventional wooden boats, namely a 35 footer, and then a 45 footer, he sold his last boat in order to up-grade, and in his own words, "try a new style of vessel". He had looked around for a suitable boat for a couple of years, in particular looking for a strongly built craft with a self draining well, and coming across a previous review of one of George Badenach's boats, he liked the way it looked and commenced talking with George about his requirements.
