Conformative Coupling of Two Conformational Molecular Switches

A molecular switch consists of a molecule that can reversibly change states (on, off) upon an external stimulus. There are photoswitches/chiroptical switches, redox switches, switchable rotaxanes and catenanes, and switchable allosteric receptors. Conformational switches have a bioconformational basic framework. Biconformational cis-decalins and cis, anti, cis-perhydroanthracenes are suitable conformational switches for the transduction of molecular signals through conformational transmission.
