Agroforestry systems tend to bring together large numbers of a particular plant species, which would not naturally grow in such dense populations. This may promote the accumulation of large numbers of pests-insects, nema-todes, rodents or disease organisms. For this reason, we have evaluated the potential threat of an insect species on one tree with great potential for agroforestry- Sesbania sesban.
