Die Bienen, Wespen und Ameisen (Hymenoptera: Aculeata)des ehemaligen Standortubungsplatzes der Bundeswehr in Achim bei Bremen

Bees and wasps of the former training area of the German armed forces in Achim near Bremen (Hymenoptera:A cuelatea). – Dry sandy grasslands and Calluna-heathlands in Lower Saxony are highly endangered ecosystems, from which only scattered small area remains are found. In consideration of this fact the former training area of the German armed forces (Standortubungsplatz) in Achim near Bremen is one of the few remaining sandy habitats in the administrative district of Verden worth of preservation. An inventory mainly carried out in 2006 to 2008 recorded so far 148 Hymenoptera Aculeata, of which 27 are Red List species. The fact that this areas deserves protection is a highly underlined by the occurrence of Hedychrum rutilans, Holopyga generosa, Episyron albonotatum, Astata minor, Lestica alata, Andrena argentata, Lasioglossum brevicorne, L. nitidulum, Nomada conjungens and Osmia adunca. The distribution centres of these species are mainly in the more continentally influenced parts of eastern and south-eastern Lower Saxony.The Hymenoptera species inventory of the survey area in Achim is annotated to emphasize the importance to preserve this characteristic landscape of Achim both for the Flora and Fauna bound to it and as a local recreation area for the inhabitants of Achim.
