Appendix 2-Example of Site Specific Microbiological Control Procedure for Cooling Tower Water

摘要

This document provides guidelines for control of microorganisms in open recirculating cooling water systems. The program objective is to minimize biofilm growth. If this biofilm development is minimized there should be little, if any, microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC) in system metallurgy, little biofouling which impedes heat transfer, and Legionella amplification should be controlled.
