A Molecular Claw: A Dynamic Cavitand Host

摘要

The design, synthesis, and study of concave molecules with enforced cavities have, in the last four decades, revealed some benefits of molecular encapsulation. Cavitands can be used to promote chemical reactions, stabilize reactive intermediates, investigate new forms of stereoisomerism, detect important analytes' and even resolve the solid-state structure of compounds of interest.
