摘要

Despite the high reliability of gas insulated metal-enclosed switchgear (GIS), defects still occur during their long service life. This paper performs a statistical analysis on more than 2000 defect event records of China Southern Power Grid to calculate the defect rate of several most common GIS defects in different service years, including seal defect, secondary system defect, mechanism defect and power system defect. Several infrequent but dangerous defects will also be considered. Besides, the defect rate is compared with the mechanical characteristic data and shows a similar tendency. Finally, some maintenance advices based on statistical results will be proposed.
