Dental Radiographic Interpretation

Interpreting dental radiographs is similar to interpreting a standard radiograph. However, dental radio-graphic changes can be more subtle than those observed with standard radiographs and there are pathologic conditions that are unique to dental radiology. Previous Foundations features have discussed basis physics, radiation safety, x-ray machine set up, film developing, and radiographic techniques for the mesiocephalic dog and cat. This segment of the intraoral dental radiology series will describe the techniques for interpreting the quality dental radiographs that you should be able to obtain after reading the previous articles.
