Agro-Techniques to Improve the Productivity of Chinese Potato (Solenostemon rotundifolius Poir., Morton)

Sree Dhara, a high yielding variety of Chinese potato, was evaluated for its response to varying spatial arrangement, method of land preparation and type of planting. The results revealed that spacing at 45 x 30 cm was as good as 30 x 30 cm in realizing high tuber yields. There was no apparent difference in tuber yield between planting on ridges and furrows and on flat beds. Planting the stems in horizontal position was better as compared to planting in vertical position.
