Joint Venture/Marketing Agreement: Voith adds permanent magnet secondary braking system to retarder portfolio

Germany/Japan - Voith Turbo of Heiden-heim, Germany, has announced that its Road Division has added a permanent magnet retarder to its secondary braking system portfolio for trucks in the 7.5 to 16 ton gross weight segment, called the Voith Magnetarder. Voith, through cooperation and a formal agreement with business partner, Japanese steel manufacturer, Sumitomo Metal Industries (SMI), is now is responsible for sales and marketing of the Voith Magnetarder in all markets globally, except Japan.
