摘要

The results obtained in this work do not pretend to state a universal norm. Far from this, it is just a report of the potential effect of three microbial inoculants in four different composting processes. It is, therefore, a concrete case. And this is the way in which results are interpreted. There are many different factors that affect composting and it is rather difficult to get two processes be identical even if they are carried out with similar raw materials and at similar environmental conditions. Taking this in mind, the final sentence in the paper proposed inoculation as a potential tool to be considered, because it may be effective in certain conditions ("Inoculants may therefore be a useful tool in composting processes when the capabilities of microorganisms are suitable for the characteristics of the waste to be composted"). In any case inoculation is stated as a foolproof method for the improvement of composting.
