摘要

In the second part of this two-part paper, the interfacial strength is determined experimentally using push-out specimens and predicted theoretically using a simple model which ignores the Poisson effect. The interfacial strength is then related to the surface roughness of the aggregate and to the interfacial thickness and the amount of silica in the interface (Part Ⅰ). It is shown that the higher the surface roughness, the stronger the interface. The interfacial strength is found to decrease with an increase in the aggregate size, irrespective of the type of rock aggregate and mortar. Finally, in order to examine the role that the Poisson effect plays in the push-out test, a finite-element analysis is performed.
