Tigerair Philippines Sold to Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific has agreed to buy Tigerair Philippines as part of a strategic alliance between Cebu and the Singapore-headquartered Tigerair low-cost airline group. Cebu will take full control of Tigerair Philippines and the airline's three Airbus A320s and two A319s. It is also buying 40% of the Tigerair group from Singapore Airlines. The Tigerair Philippines brand will continue to be run as a standalone operation. The deal also means Cebu Pacific and Tigerair will set up codeshare and interline agreements on international and domestic routes from the Philippines, including those to and from Singapore.
